Project Info

Dickson House Main Hallway Floorcloth

Faithful reproduction of a period oilcloth for a ca. 1835 historic home listed on the National Historic Register. Canvas was custom fit around circular newel post, dual L-shaped hallway, and heating registers. Floorcloth is over 25 feet long and over 8 feet wide. Pattern simulates black portoro marble and white carrara marble tiles. Each tile is unique. Border is painted a custom ochre color. The design is protected with multiple layers of a polyurethane finish. A custom cut pad protects the underlying painted floor, and cushions surface for walking.
