Drystack works well with water
For springs and embankments drystack stone walling works better than mortared stone and man-made “stone” products. Water erodes mortar. It displaces and breaks through structures. Drystack is a mortar-less technique that harnesses gravity to maintain structural integrity. Beautiful stone ages and weathers well. Moss actually makes it look better. Drystack walls are built of irregular, hand-fashioned stones placed by hand by Dryhouse Restoration craftsmen skilled in masonry and landscaping. Don’t bulldoze land to fit the design. Drystack walls are not ON the land, they are OF the land.
